Since I started this blog, I have received so much support and encouragement from you all. I just want to take a moment to say thank you. I truly appreciate my friends and family. I have a wonderful support network.
And while I'm feeling all sappy, I feel like I should mention some more things that I am grateful for:
Christopher is a wonderful husband and father. He is extremely patient and kind (with me and the kids). He is able to work from home, which he has been doing pretty much since Ignacio was born. Not only am I able to stay home with our kids, but he is also here, which can only be a positive force for them. He gets up at 5 am so that he can get back from his run and watch the kids while I run, before he starts his workday.
My friends in Texas. It is very difficult being so far from our families--which is why we are trying to move back east. We have made some very good friends here, who I love to pieces. WHEN (positive thinking here) we move back to NC it will be very hard to leave you.
My friends and family elsewhere. I love you too. I am glad that we are still in touch--even if only on facebook & email. Time and distance sometimes make it hard--but friendship endures.
Ignacio, quirks and all, is an awesome kid. He's super smart. He tells great jokes. He'll eat a red bell pepper if he can pretend it's an apple. He plays independently very well. He can identify about 100 different kinds of dinosaurs. He loves his Mommy.
Lucy, to quote Ignacio, is "pretty cool" too. She is super smart. At 18 months she's already speaking in sentences (they generally start "Lucy want..." and end in a tantrum if she doesn't get it NOW.) She has a great laugh. She wakes up every morning and says she's ready to go to Soccer Tots. She loves the park and the library. She is the only kid I have ever heard actually ask for MORE brussels sprouts. She loves her Mommy.
There are many more things for which I am thankful, but that's about all the treacle I can handle for today.
